About this Archive

Preserving and providing access to historical materials of enduring value

This digital archive is dedicated to preserving and making broadly accessible the historical record of communities and events that shaped the twentieth century. Our collections bring together photographs, documents, manuscripts, and primary sources that illuminate lives, places, and moments that might otherwise be forgotten.

Our holdings are organized following archival standards (DACS/ISAD·G), with rich multilingual metadata, high-resolution imagery delivered through IIIF-compliant viewers, and open access for research and educational use.

Mission

Our Mission

We believe that access to primary sources is a right, not a privilege. Our mission is to digitize, describe, and disseminate archival materials so that researchers, educators, genealogists, and the general public can engage with history on their own terms — in Hebrew, English, and beyond. Every record we publish is a act of remembrance and an invitation to inquiry.
